Little Dot MK III jumpers

Post by derrellgore »

I just purchased this and was wondering best way to move tube jumpers. I see them thru the slots on the bottom. Don't really have any tools to reach them. Can you do the following...

1. Take the tubes out.
2. Take screws out of the front of the amp
3. Then slide out.

I don't want to do this if there is any risk of pulling something loose.

Thanks,

A better method would be to use a small tool like tweezers to move the tube jumpers if you plan on rolling the EF92 tubes.

I don't have anything that I can successfully move the jumpers with thru the slot. So can I do what I asked about...take screws out of front and pull out...is there any risk of disconnecting anything if I do this.

Thanks,

It's doable, but not advised as it's a lengthy process (much easier to just buy a set of tweezers). If you want to slide the PCB out, you'll also need to unscrew the rear panel so that the RCA connections are not accidentally pulled apart. On the front panel you'll also need to remove the potentiometer knob. The bottom screws will also need to be removed as they secure the PCB to the chassis.
