Settings for MK IV as a preamp

Post by Cornishman »

Hi everyone. I have used my mk iv as a headphone amp only up until now. I wanted to start using it as a preamp for an Icon Audio 40i Classic.i believe this amp requires 300mv for optimal output! That said I have tried the littledot running into my Cambridge audio amp and the output from the littledot is just too low.

Can anyone advise please.

You can try increasing the gain as well as setting the volume on the Little Dot to above 50%. You should make sure your power amps are all AC coupled as the Little Dot MK IV is not recommended for use with DC coupled amplifiers.

Thanks for your response but what settings do I need to change inside (switches)?
Even at max output on the littledot it's crazy quite from the power amp
Thanks
